Captain America: Brave New World is now showing in theaters and MCU fans are skeptically going to watch Anthony Mackie finally take on the mantle of Cap in his first standalone movie. Despite all the hype built up by Marvel Studios over the past few months, including pushing Harrison Ford’s Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, a.k.a. Red Hulk, to the front of the film’s marketing strategy, Brave New World‘s hype was dead on sight after the first reviews released online — with the film currently holding a 53% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.
