Star-Lord, also known as Peter Quill, is a fictional character in the Marvel universe. He first appeared in Marvel Preview #4, published in 1976. Star-Lord is a human-alien hybrid, the son of human Meredith Quill and the alien king J’son of Spartax. He was raised on Earth, but eventually discovered his alien heritage and left to explore the universe. He is an accomplished space adventurer and the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy, a team of interstellar heroes who protect the galaxy from threats. Star-Lord is a charismatic and capable leader, skilled in both combat and strategy. He is also an expert marksman and wields a pair of blasters as his primary weapons. He has a wry sense of humour and is not above making a joke, even in the face of danger. Despite his tough exterior, Star-Lord also has a softer side and cares deeply for his friends and allies.
