In order to protect the surprises in the imminent Deadpool & Wolverine, Marvel Studios purposely faked reports of cameos in the film, to keep internet detectives guessing. In an interview with GamesRadar+, executive producer Wendy Jacobson confirmed the lengths producers went through to stop spoilers from leaking. The film’s real attraction is the first MCU onscreen pairing (not counting X-Men: Origins) of Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), but the rumored cameos get much of the attention on social media.
