Now equipped with the ability to track Patchwork due to her unique connection to his gamma signature, Geiger, albeit inexperienced, set out to capture the real perpetrator. The journey was fraught with challenges that nearly led to an early retirement for both her and Samson. Fortunately, with the assistance of She-Hulk, Polaris, and a stroke of luck, Patchwork's civilian identity was unveiled, leading to his apprehension. Post-capture, Samson, recognizing the potential in Geiger, provided her with a lock of his hair to help stabilize her if she ever picked up negative gamma signals. This gesture marked a turning point in Geiger's journey. In a surprising twist of fate, Iron Man identified Geiger as a valuable recruit for the Initiative. Embracing the opportunity, she joined the program alongside other trainees. However, their mettle was tested when they faced defeat at the hands of KIA.
