Takashi Yamazaki, the director of Godzilla Minus One, could be stomping his way over to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was a pleasant surprise when Godzilla Minus One took home the Oscar for Best VFX earlier this year, despite its fractional budget in comparison to its blockbuster competition. As well as hosting one of the best looking Godzillas on screen in years, Minus One also told a tear-jerking story about a kamikaze pilot returning home after failing his duty during WWII, and being desperate to prove himself when Godzilla descends on 1950s Japan. While Yamazaki is already working on another Godzilla movie, the director could also be making his way to the biggest cinematic franchise in the world.
