The on-screen relationship between Black Widow (Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) is one of the richest and most believable friendships in the entire MCU, as the pair have a long and unexplored history before their time in the Avengers. Natasha Romanov has already received a standalone movie exploring her character’s origins and backstory. But, Johansson feels that the movie didn’t go back far enough.
