Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) marks an exciting chapter in the ongoing saga of American superhero films and television series produced by Marvel Studios. Drawing inspiration from the rich characters and narratives found in Marvel Comics publications, Phase Five encompasses an array of highly anticipated productions scheduled for release between 2023 and mid-2024. Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures will distribute the films, while the series will be available for streaming on Disney+. Kicking off Phase Five is the action-packed film “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” which hit theaters in February 2023. The Disney+ television series of Phase Five are equally impressive. “Secret Invasion” takes center stage, featuring the talents of Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn in a captivating story of infiltration and deception. Tom Hiddleston’s enigmatic character returns in the second season of “Loki,” delving further into the complexities of the multiverse. “Echo” introduces audiences to Alaqua Cox as a new superhero, while the second season of the animated “What If…?” continues its imaginative exploration of alternate realities, narrated by Jeffrey Wright. “Ironheart” showcases Dominique Thorne as a brilliant young inventor stepping into the world of heroes, while “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” explores the enigmatic character portrayed by Kathryn Hahn. Finally, “Daredevil: Born Again” brings back the fan-favorite Charlie Cox as the iconic Daredevil, ensuring a thrilling addition to Phase Five.
Together with Phase Four and Phase Six, Phase Five forms The Multiverse Saga, an interconnected narrative that expands the boundaries of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
