Recent rumors suggest a return of Black Panther, Peter Parker, Ant-Man, and the Mad Titan in Marvel Zombies, aligning with 2022 artwork featuring Ms. Marvel, Shang-Chi, Jimmy Woo, Hawkeye (Kate Bishop), Yelena Belova, Death Dealer, Red Guardian, and Katy. Zombified Variants of Ikaris, Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch, Abomination, Captain America, Hawkeye (Clint Barton), and Ghost have also been showcased.
While indications hint at new leads taking the spotlight, the significant connection between Marvel Zombies and What If…? promises excitement. Ms. Marvel actress Iman Vellani shared her enthusiasm, describing Kamala as the central character and the “Frodo of the story.” The animated series envisions a new generation combating a zombie scourge, echoing the comic’s origins as a five-issue limited series from 2005. Penned by Robert Kirkman, the series explores an alternate universe where superheroes succumb to a virus, transforming them into zombies.
