Ghost Rider Robbie Reyes Engine of Vengeance

Following the recent Haslab failure, many collectors are now wondering where this project can go. Haslab was brought into play to bring the unimaginable toys into the market that we wouldn’t normally see.

With the first introduction into the Legends line, The Sentinel was an instant hit.

THE SENTINEL

Marvel Legends Sentinel 2021

£350 saw the Sentinel stands over 26″ tall, comes complete with 3 Alternate Heads, 2 Tenticle whips, and 2 6″ action figures! – Full details here – https://marvellegends.co.uk/marvel-legends/marvel-legends-haslab-sentinel

The Sentinel project finished its backing at 21,873 backers and was fulfilled on tier 1 in less than 24 hours!

Galactus

Towering above the Sentinel, Galactus stands at 32″ comes complete with lights, alternate head and 3 Heralds (Silver Surfer, Morg and Frankie Ray Nova).

Haslab Galactus 2022

Galactus finished backing at 30,811 backers and shipped end of October 2022 and sold for £399.99

Marvel Legends HasLab Engine of Vengeance

The first Marvel Legends Haslab project to fail and it failed in style. Final numbers saw the Haslab project finish on 5060 backers, and knowing the the collectors collective stands way over 50,000 collectors, to only get a small portion interested shows that the room was read incorrectly and as limits have been ever increasing with repaints, poor QC issues and price hikes, Legends collectors said enough is enough. £350 for the base price was too high leaving it for the tiers to try and pull the campaign back on track.

The Tiers

We saw a couple of tactical moves in trying to get the campaign back on track, with the revels of the tiers and a manipulation of the tier unlock numbers. 12,000 backers were needed to unlock a much desired figure in Mephisto. Strangely the final tier revealed first. We think at the point of reveal Hasbro and the team were under the impression that this figure would help the project dominate and back in a short period. However this wasnt to be the case.

Mavel Legends Gobilin Queen – 10,000 backers were needed
Marvel Legends Daimon Hellstrom – 11,000 backers were needed

So what next?

This is a quick pick of who and what we think would be a good project to back for the 2024 Haslab….

Tier 2

Fin Fang Foom

Fin Fang Foom

Fin Fang Foom is a Makluan, a shape-shifting alien being from the world of Kakaranthara (also known as Maklu IV) in the Maklu system of the Greater Magellanic Cloud. He resembles a somewhat anthropomorphic Chinese dragon. Foom and several other like-minded members of his race departed their peaceful homeworld centuries ago with the intention of conquering other planets. Landing on Earth in ancient China, the crew used their natural shape-shifting powers to mimic human form, intending to enter human society and bide their time before beginning their conquest

Hasbro could easily make this stand to the same height as Galactus, which will also justify the price tag (approx £450 – £500)

Tier 1

The Mandarin

The Mandarin

the villainous Mandarin was directed to the Valley of the Sleeping Dragon by the starship captain Axonn-Karr, in the human guise of Chen Hsuin

As we already have a release of The Mandarin, this will give Hasbro the much needed rerelease opportunity to release a semi controversial figure as a tier unlock.

Tier 2

Fire Blast Effect

Fin Fang Foom

Does what it says on the tin, add a fire effect flame, the biggest Hasbro power accessory all boxed in
